Place a signature and form text on a PDF
PdfRecast lets you position a signature image and added text on supported PDF pages, then export a finished copy. This is appropriate when the recipient accepts an inserted signature image or simple electronic signing workflow.
How to use this workflow
- Open the PDF and review every page before adding information.
- Create or choose the signature asset and place it only in the intended signature area.
- Add dates or form text, checking alignment and page selection.
- Download the signed copy and confirm the marks are present in a separate PDF viewer.
Understand the type of signature required
A placed signature image is not the same as a certificate-based digital signature, identity verification, notarization, or a regulated signing platform with an audit trail. The receiving party decides what method it accepts.
Do not sign a document you have not read or are not authorized to sign. Keep the unsigned original and protect reusable signature images from unauthorized access.
