PdfRecast guide
Convert a Word document to PDF in the browser
PdfRecast uses a browser-side document runtime for supported DOCX files. It lays out the document as PDF pages and then lets you continue with signing, page changes, or other PDF finishing tasks.
How to use this workflow
- Choose a supported Word document and allow the browser conversion runtime to load.
- Review the generated PDF pages for fonts, margins, tables, headers, and page breaks.
- Make any supported PDF additions, such as a signature or extra text.
- Download the PDF and verify it in a separate viewer before distribution.
Compatibility notes
Layout can change when a document depends on fonts that are not available, linked resources, macros, external templates, advanced fields, or application-specific effects. Password-protected or damaged files may not open.
For a final business or legal document, compare the PDF with the original Word file and pay particular attention to page boundaries, table rows, footnotes, and text that must not wrap.
